The new Garmin GPSMAP 78 series consist of 3 outdoor GPS handheld navigators providing great features for Mariners, Fishermen, Hikers and Geocachers. Just choose from the menu your preferred set up: Recreational, Geocaching, Automotive, Marine, Fitness or Classic modes and start to navigating comfortably.

The Innovative design of having the control buttons above the 2.6'' colorful display makes the operating of the GPSMAP 78 much easier when you hold the device in your hand in only naturally to press the buttons with your thumb.

Garmin GPSMAP 78 Series are already preloaded with worldwide basemap and supports other Garmin maps using the Micro SD slot.

Equiped with WAAS enabled GPS receiver capabilities the GPSMAP 78 models will keep your location precise even in bad reception conditions like in forests, canyons or heavy weather.

All GPSMAP 78 handheld devices are IPX7 waterproof and they fall into water, no worries as they simply float!

The GPSMAP 78s and 78sc has a built-in tilt-compensated 3-axis electronic compass and a barometric altimeter. GPSMAP 78sc is also preloaded with U.S. coastal charts.
